The Penn State club I started for Christian musicians and artists — live worship nights, our student band Gentle & Lowly, and the web tools I built for the team.
Worship Music & Arts Club (WM&A)
WM&A exists to give Penn State students a space to use their gifts to worship God, and invite others into the beauty and joy of who He is. I started the club, and it has grown into a home for songwriting, live worship nights, and a set of tools I built for the team.
Worship Nights
Our first event launched the club — leading and organizing PSU Worship Night (Jan 18, 2026) to set the vision for the team. We host both intimate gatherings and larger campus worship nights with guest performers, plus workshops and open-mic nights for musicians and non-musicians alike.
Gentle & Lowly
Our student band, Gentle & Lowly, writes, arranges, and records original worship music — starting with our debut EP, Your Son Before Me, written and recorded entirely by Penn State students.
The Website — Tools for the Team
There is a lot of technical work behind a worship night: admin, organization, charts, and musicianship. I built WM&As web tools to remove that backend headache: a Harmony Trainer for live pitch feedback, and a Setlist Manager for building, transposing, and exporting chord charts. Its live at wmaac.org.
